Los Angeles Accident Case Authority provides this page to help California residents exercise their privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
We are an independent accident intake and case review platform serving Los Angeles County. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.
Under California law:
“Sell” can mean disclosing personal information to another business or third party for money or other valuable consideration.
“Share” can mean disclosing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (for example, targeted ads based on your activity across different websites).
We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense (e.g., exchanging a list of personal data for cash).
Whether we “share” personal information depends on the technologies we use on our Site (such as advertising cookies or pixels). If we use analytics and advertising tools that enable cross-site targeting, that may be considered “sharing” under CPRA.
To exercise your right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing,” use one of the methods below.
You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information by:
Email us at: privacy@losangelesaccidentcaseauthority.com (or admin@losangelesaccidentcaseauthority.com) with:
Subject line: Do Not Sell or Share Request
Your full name
The email address and/or phone number you used on our Site
A brief request such as: “Please opt me out of the sale or sharing of my personal information.”
We may request additional information to verify your identity and complete the request.
You can also limit tracking by:
Adjusting your browser settings to block or delete cookies
Using browser-based privacy controls (where available)
If your browser or device supports a recognized opt-out preference signal (such as Global Privacy Control (GPC)), we will treat it as a request to opt out of “sale/sharing” for that browser/device where required by law.
If you use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, we may require:
Proof that the agent is authorized to act for you, and/or
Verification of your identity directly with us.
If you opt out, we will not sell or share your personal information as defined under California law, subject to permitted exceptions.
Please note:
Opting out may limit the use of certain cookies/technologies.
Some website features may be affected if cookies are disabled.
When you submit accident intake information, we may share relevant information with participating attorneys/partners for case evaluation and potential representation, consistent with our Privacy Policy and your submission/consent.
This type of disclosure is generally for service delivery and case alignment, not for cross-context advertising. However, California law definitions can be complex, and we provide this opt-out mechanism to give you control.
California residents may also have the right to:
Request access to personal information we collected
Request deletion of personal information (with certain exceptions)
Request correction of inaccurate information
Limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information (where applicable)
Not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights
To make these requests, email: privacy@losangelesaccidentcaseauthority.com (or admin@losangelesaccidentcaseauthority.com).
